BooHoo Throwback Style :: 70′s Stevie Nicks

I am a child of the 80s but I have always been a huge fan of everything about the 70s – the music (I’m a certified disco kid and Donna Summer is my muse :-) ), the TV shows (Charlie’s Angels!), the hair (can you tell how I love Farrah Fawcett’s feathered and shaggy ‘do?), and most of all THE fashion (bohemian, wrap dresses, jumpsuits, huge chain belts, bell bottom jeans, platform heels…yay!) :-)

But of all the retro trends I just mentioned – it’s definitely the bohemian/flower child look of the late 60s to the 70s that will forever melt my heart to pieces.  So I literally jumped at the chance to recreate a favorite look from the past via BOOHOO‘s Throwback Thursday (#TBT) campaign with the ethereal 70s rock and roll queen STEVIE NICKS as my inspiration! ♥

I’m deeply honored to be the featured STYLEBLAZER this week at FABULOUS AFTER 40 - Ms. Deborah Boland’s awesome site for empowered yet beautiful women.  Check out my full-length interview here and get some of my “look great for less” style tips and insights! ;-)

I can’t thank these fabulous bloggers enough for putting in their two cents as to which style icon I could channel.  I’m so flattered that my pretty friends Jeannie and Janise both seriously thought I could do a Marilyn Monroe, Lana said I could be Sophia Loren, Brittany said it’s Selena (with the big hair!) and glam Mira even chimed in that I could do Grace Kelly – wow you ladies are the sweetest! ♥

With Spring already here and the festival season just around the corner – I suggest y’all check out BOOHOO‘s awesome collection of dresses here and the best Coachella-inspired looks here.

AWW Rebecca! You are so sweet my friend and you welcome! I think you will channel Marilyn’s style and glamour beautifully and I can’t wait to see who you finally choose. Love the boho floral dress you are wearing today and with those legs I would be wearing mini dresses and skirts all the time! And congratulations for being the STYLEBLAZER of the week! I am going to read the interview after I am done typing this comment. Hope all is going great for you my friend and blessings to you always! XOXO, Jeannette

Well the 70s are coming back in style in a huge way this year. That dress is beyond adorable, especially with the panama hat. So pretty and colorful as always.

Nailed it with the Stevie Nicks vibe….love her and all things 70′s…even though the 80′s were pretty dang amazing too! That dress is soooo cute. I need to look at Boohoo more often…they seem to have super cute pieces.

Fabulous outfit! And such a great muse to emulate. I love Stevie Nicks. There hasn’t been anyone in the music industry quite like here in a very, very long time.

I’m also a fan of boho. Is the 70′s just the best decade for all the flares and style?! Your dress is beautiful, I love the pattern and colours. You look great.

Beautiful. A fan of boho chic myself, I bought a few vintage dresses to wear this summer. Hope I could pull them off the way you do yours!
