Memorial Day Style :: Statement Sleeves

So this is what happened when I snapped out a bit of my shopping hibernation two weekends ago.  I went on a quick stroll through my friendly neighborhood Marshalls and this dress – or better yet – those statement sleeves totally had me at hello!  I swear most of you wouldn’t even give this chiffon dress a second glance especially that it’s already in the clearance aisle but I just clearly saw its potential via those sleeves (my daughter called it so-Maleficent!) ;-)

Seriously, do you bloggers see the potential of a dress or an outfit at just the first glance? ♥

I loved the dress (it’s fully-lined except at the sleeves) so much that I bought the other remaining piece (will be posting it today I promise) for my POSHMARK closet here.  Don’t forget to check out my closet more often as I can’t wait to bring you more NWT (new with tags) stuff I got from my Memorial weekend shopping spree especially meant for my Poshmark closet!

What I’m Wearing   >>   Dress via Marshalls (NWT will be available soon at my Poshmark closet here)   ::   Bag and Belt via Nordstrom Rack   :: Report wedge sandals via Macy’s    ::   Halston sunglasses via TJ Maxx   ::   MAC Ruby Woo lipstick   ::   Hair and Smile (my own!) ;-)

Do check out and join my fun and precious linkups (and meet new friends along the way!) for the week.  Thanks for the invites… you all fabulous ladies!  ♥

Of course I would have given that dress a second chance! judging by the way it looks on you I would buy it in a heart beat! I am obsessed with the boho look and those sleeves spread “bohemian vibes” to me. Going to Marshalls and TJ Maxx is one of my favorite things to do but for sure I have to have plenty of time to go through all the clearance racks! You can always find amazing pieces and your dress is proof of that. You look stunning as always Rebecca and your beautiful hair always remind me to never cut mine:-) Have a beautiful weekend! XOXO, Jeannette

I absolutely love how you slung the belt so low on your hips. It changes the silhouette completely and makes for a really hip, boho look. I feel like retailers have been playing with sleeve shape a lot this spring and summer. Lots of peasant sleeves, flutter sleeves, bell sleeves, and kimono-style sleeves. It’s fun to shake things up!

This is such a fun summer look! I love the bell sleeves and that belt! I dont have a great eye for clothing like you do. I generally have to try something on or I get tips from other bloggers on what looks good. I hope you had a great weekend! Susan
