Chicwish :: Retro Style

If there’s one style era that I won’t ever get tired of recreating – it’s definitely the 70s look.   There’s something about that era that excites and squeezes out the best of my creative juices enough to channel my favorite Ali MacGraw character in the unforgettable movie of all time “Love Story.”

And this glam but cozy cropped turtleneck sweater with the most interesting glove sleeves when paired with this super adorable with wool-like texture bud/A-line skirt (fully lined with animal-printed satin material, how cool is that?) from CHICWISH just about let me fulfill another one of my fantasy 70s looks!   I’ve heard and seen so much of CHICWISH around blog land, and honestly, I thought they only sold the prettiest midi skirts like this.  That’s why I am so elated to find out that their huge collection has the most amazing and quality indie and retro outfits for every style and size.

I am by the way sending warm California hugs and kisses to those who are severely affected by Blizzard Jonas last weekend.   Stay safe and all bundled up everyone! ♥

    Rebecca, this look is fabulous! I always like the look of opaque black tights under a colored skirt. The necklace really brings it all together. Thanks for adding your flair to the My Refined Style Linkup. See you next month!

    Loving everything about this look! The sleeves on your turtleneck are so fun and the bold colored skirt is perfect. Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday, Rebecca!

    Rebecca you look fantastic! The orange looks amazing on you. Hilarious side note: I didn’t know they were called “glove sleeves.” I’ve always called them “Ninja sleeves.” Lol, I have zero idea where that came from, but love that you educated me! :) Super cute!!

    You are wearing one of my favorite outfit combinations…an A-line skirt and sweater with tights! Oh my gosh, you look so wonderful! Love the colors (black with vibrant colors is always fave combo for me)!

    I think you look great in 70′s style. The timeless turtleneck made unique with those sleeves goes great with your cheerful skirt. Perfect girly winter look. XOXO, Elif

    What a fun skirt! I love how it really pops against the black, and how your necklace coordinates perfectly. I have a bright red skirt too, so thanks for the outfit inspiration here–I need to try it with all black!

    This is so mod-meets-70s and fabulous! Each piece alludes to decades past. That necklace is awesome and such a great finishing touch to this look!
